Families and Caregivers Speak

"Hospice Fredericton is an amazing place and such a benefit to the Fredericton area. I would highly recommend the Hospice for anyone who is in the end stages of life. When my Dad was there we found all the nurses full of compassion for both my Dad and my family and are so genuine, kind and supportive. We also found Jim and Amy who prepare meals for the patients are just as amazing. They prepare delicious, homemade and nutritious meals for the patients. When you walk into the Hospice it is a beautiful, peaceful and comforting place - all we felt during my Dad's stay there was we were so thankful we were able to stay there with him." Catherine Coughlan, Family Member

"Having been a family physician serving the Fredericton Area for 40 years, I have seen the physical and mental impact that caring for a sick loved one can have on a family. The stress and burnout is detrimental to the health of everyone involved. A residential hospice would be a great benefit to our community." Dr. Stephen Hart, Family Physician

"I am so saddened by the number of people who would die alone were it not for Hospice. Words are hard to describe the privilege it is to be with someone at the end stage of their life. I am honoured to be able to share those last days and last hours. " Brenda Sansom
