Visiting Volunteers

Visiting Volunteers

Hospice Fredericton’s Visiting Volunteers Program provides compassionate support and companionship to individuals living with terminal illness in the comfort of their own homes.
Our trained volunteers play an important role in enhancing quality of life for both patients and their families by offering emotional support, companionship, and a caring presence during a profoundly challenging time.

What Do Visiting Volunteers Do
Companionship

Volunteers spend meaningful time with clients through conversation, reading, or engaging in simple activities that bring comfort and connection.
Emotional Support
Volunteers offer a listening ear and compassionate presence, helping clients and families navigate the emotional complexities of end of life care.
Keepsakes for Loved Ones
Volunteers can assist with legacy activities such as letter writing, art projects, or creating scrapbooks, photo albums, or recipe collections to preserve memories for loved ones.
