Community Services

Hospice staff and volunteers work with our medical partners to help support those being cared for at home during end-of-life. Community programs include:

  • In-home support – home visitation program delivered by trained volunteers who provide emotional support to both patient and family.
  • Care for the caregiver – volunteers are available to provide relief care to allow families to take a break.

For more information on our In-home support and Care for the caregiver programs, please contact Nicole Pike, Volunteer and Clinical Support Coordinator at 506-206-7955 or by email, at

  • Narrative care – this helps direct the focus into the patient’s lives by identifying the joyful times. Volunteers will help patients re-tell the story of their lives and share their memories with loved ones. Stay tuned for more information!
  • Grief Support – this 6-week grief support group is facilitated by two experienced social workers and is both supportive and educational. Please see our Grief Resources page for more information.

For more information on our Narrative care program and our Grief support resources, please contact Christa Blizzard, Social Worker at 506-472-8696 or by email, at
