The community programs offered by Hospice Fredericton are free to all those who require them. Funding required for services comes from the community – through fundraisers, donations, and bequests.
There is no charge for the medical care offered through Hospice House. The Provincial Government supports the operations of Hospice House by providing approximately 40% of the annual operating budget. Hospice must raise the remaining funds through the support of the community. Each and every donation helps us to meet our fundraising goal each year!
As a federally registered charity, all financial contributions are tax deductible. All donations – big or small – enable our staff to continue their vital service in our community!
Branches of Hope
Branches of Hope provides an opportunity for you to honour a loved one and support our work. At Hospice Fredericton, every act of generosity helps us provide compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement support. The Branches of Hope donor recognition tree stands as a testament to the kindness of our community, honouring those who support our mission.
This tree stands as a tribute to love, remembrance, and kindness. Every engraved leaf or foundation stone represents a cherished memory, a tribute to someone special, or a commitment to supporting hospice care.
How to Participate:

How you can help
If you would like to make a significant contribution to Hospice Fredericton over time, we can make arrangements with you to donate monthly. A monthly gift of $20 receives a tax receipt and will have a lasting impact – your $240 annual donation can offset the cost of medications for one of our patients during their stay, easing their financial burden during their end-of-life journey.
If you have a loved one who has passed, we accept donations in their memory. The family will receive a handwritten handcrafted dragonfly card, the symbol for Hospice, notifying them that a gift was made in memory.
Our staff would be happy to discuss legacy gift options made in support of our organization. Your generosity can have a lasting impact by helping others who are in their end-of-life journey by considering Hospice Fredericton as a recipient in your estate planning.
In lieu of gifts at your next birthday party, shower or anniversary, select Hospice Fredericton as the recipient of your donations! You could also incorporate a fun activity at your event to collect donations! Contact us for ideas, we’d be happy to help you plan!
