Hospice Fredericton to Unveil New “Branches of Hope” Donor Recognition Tree

Fredericton, NBJanuary 30, 2025 – Hospice Fredericton is proud to announce the launch of Branches of Hope, a beautiful donor recognition tree that symbolizes the generosity, kindness, and support of our community. Made possible through the generous support of Clinton, Rhonda, and the entire Lawrence family, this meaningful installation will honour those whose contributions help provide compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement support for patients and families.

To celebrate this special initiative, Hospice Fredericton has invited select individuals to attend the Branches of Hope Unveiling Ceremony on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Hospice Fredericton.

“This tree is more than a display—it’s a tribute to the generosity of our community,” said Cindy Sheppard, CEO of Hospice Fredericton. “Every leaf represents a tribute to a loved one while supporting the mission of providing comfort, dignity and excellence in end-of-life care.”

The Branches of Hope program recognizes donors with engraved bronze (donations $500-$999), silver (donations $1,000-$4,999), and gold leaves (donations $5,000-$9,999) placed throughout the tree, symbolizing different levels of generosity. Donors of $10,000 or more receive an engraved foundation stone placed at the base of the tree, representing the strong foundation of support that sustains our mission.

The unveiling ceremony will include remarks from Clinton and Rhonda Lawrence, whose generosity made this initiative possible, as well as CEO Cindy Sheppard. Guests will have the opportunity to view the Branches of Hope tree, enjoy light refreshments, and learn how they can leave a lasting legacy of kindness and care.

The launch of Branches of Hope aligns with Random Acts of Kindness Week (February 17–21, 2025), reinforcing the message that every act of kindness—big or small—creates ripples of compassion in our community. Hospice Fredericton is also inviting community members to participate in the Kindness Chain Initiative. Those who donate in honour of someone who has shown them kindness will receive a Kindness Heart, which will be displayed alongside the tree during Random Acts of Kindness Week.

Hospice Fredericton welcomes all community members, donors, and supporters to attend this special event and be part of a lasting tribute to generosity and care.
